Its defining feature is a powered 90° chair rotation mechanism. After the backrest and leg rest are placed in the required configuration, the bed platform rotates toward the user's right, bringing the person into a chair-like position near the bedside.
This can reduce the amount of manual repositioning needed before a planned assisted bed exit. The user must still have appropriate transfer assistance, balance and weight-bearing ability for the selected transfer method.
Coral combines electric backrest elevation, leg-rest adjustment, Hi-Low height adjustment, Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg positioning, and right-side chair rotation in one system.
The bed features a steel frame, upholstered exterior, detachable side rails, eight lockable castors and two wired handheld remotes.
