Before First Use

• Install BedMate only on a stable and compatible bed.
• Confirm that the supporting bed structure can safely accommodate the attachment and user.
• Follow the supplied installation instructions.
• Ensure the frame is correctly positioned and securely installed.
• Check that all bolts, adjustment knobs and electrical connections are secure.
• Verify that the side rails are correctly installed and locked.
• Test the electric positioning system before the user occupies the bed.

Safe Operation

1. Connect the system to a suitable power supply.
2. Position the user comfortably on the mattress.
3. Keep hands, clothing, bedding and other objects clear of moving sections.
4. Operate the wired handset to adjust the backrest and knee-rest position.
5. Monitor the user's comfort and alignment throughout adjustment.
6. Stop movement if the user experiences discomfort or an obstruction is detected.
7. Return the system to the appropriate resting position when required.

Important Operating Precautions

• Do not exceed the maximum user weight of 200 kg.
• Do not allow children to operate the remote unsupervised.
• Do not sit or stand on the moving backrest or knee-rest sections.
• Do not use the side rails as lifting handles.
• Assess potential entrapment gaps around the side rails, mattress and existing bed.
• Do not use the system if any component is loose, damaged or malfunctioning.
• Avoid operating the system with cables trapped under the bed or moving frame.
• Use the side rails only when appropriate for the individual user and care plan.

During a Power Failure

If power becomes unavailable, the electric positioning system remains in its current position.

The confirmed standard configuration does not provide a manual emergency-lowering function or verified backup-power capability.

Mattress Care

• Clean the removable cover according to the supplied care instructions.
