FAQs related to Manual Nursing Bed with Side Turning & Commode
Find quick answers to common questions about this product.
The bed operates completely manually and does not require electricity. Four separate hand cranks control the backrest, leg section, left/right side-tilting mechanism, and commode function. The adjustments are caregiver-operated, making the bed suitable for homecare and nursing environments where reliable manual positioning is preferred.
The maximum user weight is **150 kg**. The bed measures **36 inches wide × 78 inches long (3 × 6.5 ft)** and accommodates a **35 × 76-inch mattress**. The floor-to-mattress height is approximately **22 inches**. Doorway dimensions and available caregiver space should be checked before ordering.
The backrest can be raised up to **80°**, while the leg section adjusts from **0–45°**. The bed platform can tilt towards either the left or right side from **0–80°**, measured from the flat bed position. The specified side-tilting angle describes the movement of the bed platform and does not represent the user's actual body-turning angle. Follow the supplied operating instructions when combining different adjustments.
A dedicated hand crank operates the commode mechanism, providing access to the mattress opening and collection pan for bedside toileting. The standard package includes a **mattress, dining tray, IV pole, and commode pan**.
Yes. The bed has **collapsible aluminium side rails** that can be lowered for bedside access. It is fitted with **5-inch castor wheels with individual brakes** and does not have a central locking system. The available wheel brakes should be applied before transfers, toileting, positioning adjustments, and other stationary care activities.
No. The left/right side-tilting mechanism assists caregivers with repositioning and provides easier access to either side of the user during nursing and personal care. Depending on the user's condition, hands-on caregiver assistance may still be required for safe and comfortable positioning.
Typical delivery takes **4–5 days**, and an assembly instruction video is provided. The manual crank mechanisms are covered by a **1-year warranty** against manufacturing defects under normal use, subject to the applicable warranty terms and a valid purchase invoice. Transit damage should be reported within **10 days of delivery** with photographs and order details. Return requests may also be raised within **10 days of delivery**, subject to Morecare's return policy. Genuine Morecare spare parts, paid servicing, and lifetime virtual technical support are available for long-term product assistance.
