Posterior Upright Walking Practice

Pelvic Support During Stepping

Trunk Positioning

Balance and Weight-Shifting Activities

Realistic Outcomes

Tulip provides external support for selected walking exercises. Improvements in independence, walking pattern, endurance or balance cannot be promised and should be evaluated against the child's individual rehabilitation goals.

Who May Be Suitable

• Children approximately 3–12 years old who can participate in therapist-supervised walking practice.

Who May Need Another Solution

Children who require full-body-weight suspension or powered lifting may need a dedicated body-weight-support gait trainer such as Morecare LiteGait.

Children requiring more substantial head and chest positioning, a different walker orientation or greater anti-rollover support should be assessed for another appropriate gait trainer.

A child unable to tolerate the required lower-limb loading should not be selected solely on age, diagnosis or the frame's quoted weight capacity.

Standard and Optional Equipment

The stainless-steel posterior frame, four castors and pelvic positioning system are central to Tulip's described configuration.

The padded removable trunk support is listed in technical specifications but called optional elsewhere. Its standard inclusion must be confirmed.

Before First Use

Have a rehabilitation professional assess whether posterior walking, pelvic support and any additional trunk positioning are appropriate.

Confirm the approved safe weight limit for the complete supplied configuration, particularly because the source lists an 80 kg frame rating and a 50 kg pelvic sling rating.

Follow the manufacturer's assembly instructions and verify all locks, frame connections, support attachments and castor brakes.

Before Each Walking Session

Check the stainless-steel frame, adjustment knobs, foldable joints, four castors, brakes, pelvic sling, pads and attachments for damage or looseness.

Adjust the height and pelvic support according to the child's measurements and therapy guidance.

Apply all four wheel locks during fitting, transfers or stationary positioning, as described in the current product instructions.

Use the correct unlocking and rolling procedure for walking activities.

During Walking Practice

Always maintain appropriate caregiver or therapist supervision.

Monitor pelvic position, trunk alignment, breathing, lower-limb loading, balance, discomfort and fatigue.

Do not assume that the pelvic sling provides full-body suspension.

Use the walker only on suitable firm, level indoor or smooth outdoor surfaces. Avoid stairs, slopes, curbs and rough pathways.

Do not move the walker with a seated child as though it were a wheelchair.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean the stainless-steel frame with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

Clean the pelvic sling and padded supports according to their care instructions, allowing them to dry completely before reuse.

Remove hair and debris from castors and check all brakes regularly.

Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, abrasive cleaners or pressure washing.

Arrange preventive inspection approximately every 12 months, or sooner if damage or wear is observed.

Fold the walker only when unoccupied and store it indoors in a dry location.
