When a child is diagnosed with developmental challenges, life changes for the entire family. For Gaurav Arora from Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, caring for his son became more than a responsibility—it became the family's full-time commitment.

After his son was diagnosed with Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Gaurav and his wife dedicated years to therapy, rehabilitation, and supporting every stage of their child's development. The journey

A Diagnosis That Changed Everything

In 2013, after noticing developmental concerns, Gaurav and his family travelled to Mumbai for a neurological evaluation at Jaslok Hospital. Following assessment, their son was diagnosed with Global Developmental Delay (GDD). The family understood that rehabilitation would be a long journey requiring patience, therapy, and continuous support. Determined to give their child every possible opportunity, they committed themselves completely to his care.

A Family's Commitment

For several years, rehabilitation became the family's highest priority. Gaurav paused his business, while his wife made the difficult decision to leave her government job so they could dedicate more time to their son's therapies and daily care. Together, they spent years supporting his rehabilitation, celebrating every small achievement along the way.

New Challenges Along the Journey

Although their son made progress through regular therapy, the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted his rehabilitation routine. Over time, walking became increasingly difficult, and maintaining proper standing posture became a growing concern. The family's goal shifted from simply improving mobility to preserving his ability to stand, walk within the home, and maintain healthy lower-limb alignment for as long as possible.
